TOPIC OF MY ARTICLE: The Antarctic melting, and how it will be irreversible in only 60 years.

TITLE OF ARTICLE: Antarctic Melting Irreversible in 60 years

 WHERE I GOT IT: Discovery.com
SUMMARY: The melting of two glaciers could lead to the oceans rising about 10 feet, due to greenhouse gases. It is unlikely that whenever the ice sheet that these two glaciers hold will stop once it is destabilized. Studies show  that the destabilization of the entire ice sheet would be irreversible if current conditions don’t change by 2075.
STANCE, HOW I FEEL, HOW IT EFFECTS ME: My stance on this topic, is that I believe we need to change our ways. I mean, we’re releasing to much CO2 already, and lately we’ve been adding cars that also release CO2. The plants can’t really take in that much, can it? We humans need to slow down. It may not affect some of those who are in their 40’s or 50’s, but I’m only fourteen, and I just might be alive around 2075.  The rising of the ocean will not really affect me because around that time I will be 74.
How it effects the world: As I said, it only affects those under their 40’s. Still, this definetly affects the world. The melting of the glaciers, or Antarctica, raises sea levels, and there are a lot of islands out there that can possibly be drowned because of this. Also, there could be people living on those islands, leading to deaths of humans. We’ve only got 60 years to change this, and if this world doesn’t do anything now, then what could happen?
